Donald Hilary Connolly (1886-1969) was born in Fort Mojave, Arizona. In 1910 he graduated from West Point and commissioned with the Army Corps of Engineers. After graduating from the Command and General Staff School in 1923 and the Army War College in 1929, he taught at the Command and General Staff School until 1934.
